Your data
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PhD Research Mentor ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data. We are committed to handling your information responsibly and in accordance with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. Information we collect
- Contact details you provide — name, email address and phone number.
- Project information — your research topic, stage, institution level, deadlines and any documents or details you share with us so we can assist you.
- Payment information — when you pay, the transaction is processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. Card and bank details are handled directly by Razorpay on its secure, PCI-DSS-compliant systems. We do not collect or store your full card numbers, CVV or bank credentials. We may receive limited confirmation data such as a transaction ID, amount and payment status.
- Communications — messages you send us by email or through our enquiry form.
- Basic technical/usage data — standard information your browser sends (such as approximate location and device/browser type). We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) and set no advertising cookies.
2. Why we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote.
- To deliver, manage and support the services you engage us for.
- To process payments and issue receipts through Razorpay.
- To communicate with you about your project and respond to grievances.
- To comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
3. Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent (given when you contact us or place an order), to perform our contract with you, and to meet our legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time (see "Your rights"), though this may affect our ability to provide services.
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed:
- With Razorpay, to process payments and refunds.
- With trusted service providers who help us operate (for example, email or hosting), under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
- Where required by law, regulation or a valid legal request.
5. Data storage & localisation
Payment data relating to your transactions is stored within India in line with Reserve Bank of India requirements. We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services and to meet legal, accounting and regulatory requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
6. Data security
This website is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection, and we apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
7. Confidentiality
We treat your research materials and project details as strictly confidential and use them only to provide the services you have requested.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request to access, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw your consent. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
9. Children
Our services are intended for adults and for higher-education researchers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate consent.
